Good morning!
As the cost of everyday living keeps increasing, finding a bargain for the extras like vacations is essential.
One way to find great deals is by working with a travel agent. Travel agents regularly get vacation package and cruise deals that aren’t available to the general public.
Another way to find great deals is if you can be flexible. If you can travel on weekdays instead of weekends (like Tuesday-Tuesday), you can usually save quite a bit of money.
Avoiding peak travel times such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, and Easter will also save money. I realize a lot of people have to take their vacations around these times because they don’t want to take the kids out of school or work schedules, etc. If you are planning a trip during these times, to get the best prices, you will need to plan as early as possible. Flights and resorts fill up fast for prime destinations, so booking early saves money.
Waiting for “last-minute” bargains is another good way to save money. Travel suppliers often sell off inventory at a discount during the weeks or months before departure dates. So if you have the ability to take advantage of these deals, it’s a great way to save money.
I am already seeing great deals for trips to Cancun, Cozumel, and the Caribbean for travel in December and January. Take a look at my Vacation Packages page and you can see some of the specials available from Detroit and Chicago. If you are traveling from another city, send me an email and tell me what you are looking for and I will find you a great deal!
I also have a mailing list and regularly send out emails to clients when a special deal comes up that I think they would be interested in. When I know what clients are looking for, I am on the lookout for a deal for them. I do not charge any fees for my services. The travel suppliers pay me a commission without raising your price. You may find the same package for the same price that I am offering, but by working with me you would have someone there to help you before, during, and after your trip, all at the same cost or less. I also work with the suppliers to get my clients free upgrades and services whenever possible and onboard credits on cruises. I also watch for price changes and if a sale comes up for your particular trip, I make sure the price gets changed to the lower price.
Bargains are out there, you just need to know how to find them! Call me or send me an email and I will be glad to help you find the perfect vacation at a great price!
Enjoy the rest of summer!

Cruises are still a great value, even with the fuel surcharges. I’ve always booked through the cruise line itself. Maybe next time I’ll try a travel agent. Are all travel agents as service-oriented as you?
